The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the 2026 CoC Builds Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) on June 23, 2026.
In preparation for the Local Competition agencies are encouraged to:
- Check access to e-snaps - esnaps.hud.gov
- Ensure your UEI number is active - SAM.gov
- Review internal project readiness, including cite control and financing

July 21 – Final Priority Listing Approved & Posted
July 15-22 – e-snaps Application Entry Due (Selected project only)
Applicants complete project application in e-snap by July 22 at

Important Notes
- Submission of an LOI is required to participate in the competition
- Only selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application
- Applications must align with CoC Builds eligibility and requirements
- Projects must be prepared to proceed immediately upon award
- Awarded funds must be obligated within 21 days
- Projects must meet the 25% match requirement (unless exempt)
